IMPOLITE READER’S RESPONSES ON ONLINE BBC NEWS COMMENTS

 Objective: This research was titled “Impolite Reader’s Responses on Online BBC News Comments”. found out the impoliteness strategies comments.
 Materials and Methods. The used a qualitative method. data were Comments. analyzed by theory of Culpeper.
 Results. Based analysis that strategy consisted fifty responses, such as positive impoliteness, negative sarcasm mock, bald record. Positive gained 26 utterances (54%) which contained 7 (14%) for inappropriate identity markers, 6 (12%) ignorance, 4 (8%) discussing sensitive topic, 2 (4%) each secretive language taboo words, only one (2%) utterance disinterested. Then, it followed 16 (30%), 8 (16%) condescending, 5 (10%) explicitly associating, frightened. While, mock (12%), record dismissal.
 Conclusion. use in this conveys an impolite response using some characteristics strategy. From all types with-holding can’t be because should mostly direct two-way interactions rather than responses commentary column.
